Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Collabify Australia Pty Ltd (“Collabify”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through the Collabify pre-launch website. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address, to identify your account and contact you.
• Password authentication data. Your password is processed by our authentication provider, Supabase Auth, and stored only as a one-way hash. We never store or log your password in readable form, so we can't look it up or recover it.
• Name (for Business accounts, the contact person's name).
• Account type: Creator or Business.
• Username (Creators) or business name (Businesses).
• City. We ask for your city or town only, never a street address or exact location.
• Primary niche (Creators) or industry (Businesses).
• Any other account or profile information you choose to give us, for example when you edit your details.
• Your choices: a record of the Terms and Privacy Policy versions you agreed to, your age confirmation, and whether you opted in to marketing emails, with the date and time of each.
• Technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as sign-in session cookies, and the IP address, browser type and request times recorded in our service providers' logs.

We don't ask for government ID, your date of birth, home address, payment or financial details, or passwords for your social media accounts.

• To create and manage your account, including verifying your email and letting you sign in and reset your password.
• To provide the pre-launch service: showing your account status and letting you update your details.
• To prepare your account for the Collabify marketplace, so you can sign in with the same details when it launches.
• To communicate with you about your account and, only if you opt in, about the launch and other news.
• To improve Collabify, for example using feedback you send us.
• For security and fraud prevention, such as protecting accounts from unauthorised access.
• To meet our legal obligations and keep records of the consents you give us.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.

During pre-launch, your profile information isn't visible to the public or to other users. When the marketplace launches, parts of your profile (for example your name, username or business name, city and niche or industry) are intended to be visible to other Collabify users so that creators and businesses can find each other. We'll explain exactly what will be visible, and any settings you can use to control it, before launch.

Account emails, such as email verification, password resets and important account or security notices, are part of running your account. We send them whether or not you opt in to marketing.

Launch updates and marketing emails are optional. We only send them if you tick the marketing box when you sign up, or opt in later from your account page. Every marketing email will identify Collabify, explain why you're receiving it and include a way to unsubscribe. You can also opt out at any time from your account page, and choosing not to receive them doesn't affect your account.

We use trusted service providers to run Collabify. They process information on our behalf:

• Supabase: authentication (sign-in, passwords, verification and reset emails) and our database.
• Website hosting: [Hosting provider — to be confirmed].
• Email delivery: Resend, which delivers our account emails, such as email verification and password resets, on our behalf.

We may also disclose information where the law requires or authorises it, or with your consent.

Your account information is stored in our Supabase database, hosted in Oceania (Sydney). Our service providers may store or process information outside Australia.

We protect your information with measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), password hashing by our authentication provider, access controls that stop one user from seeing another user's private information, and restricted access for our own systems. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will act on any breach as required by law.

We keep your account information while your account exists and for as long as we need it for the purposes above or to meet legal obligations. [Specific retention periods — to be confirmed]. When we no longer need information, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

• Access: you can see your basic information on your account page, and ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction: you can update your basic information from your account page, or ask us to correct anything else.
• Deletion: you can ask us to close your account and delete your personal information.
• Marketing: you can opt in or out of marketing emails at any time from your account page.

To make a request, email admin@collabify.me from the address linked to your account. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Because Collabify is an account-based service, we can't provide an account without your email address.

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect your account. We don't currently use analytics or advertising cookies on this website. If that changes, we'll update this policy first.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy. Each version has a version number and effective date, and we keep a record of the version you acknowledged. If we make a material change, we'll let you know before it takes effect.
